Dr Subhashree Banerjee specializes in ecological and environmental economics. Her research focuses on climate change and forest conservation challenges. She holds a PhD in Economics from Institute for Social and Economic Change. Her doctoral research examined ecosystem services and livelihood systems in Odisha. She currently serves as Assistant Professor at CHRIST University, Bangalore. She has extensive academic experience in environmental economics research. She has published articles in journals including Economic and Political Weekly. She has contributed to research reports for Government of Karnataka. She has presented papers at national and international academic conferences. Her work highlights expertise in climate change and ecological economics. She has worked with organizations including AIF, GRAAM, and PwC. She applies research knowledge to consultancy and real world projects. She serves on Board of Studies at St Josephs College of Commerce. She balances professional work with interests in trekking and classical music.
